Two all-American favorites play center stage on a day brimming with
activities, including: over 200 craft booths, contests, entertainment,
music & a great variety of food booths. There are yard sales
galore all through town. Brookston's annual festival takes
place the third Saturday in September. This is the time to celebrate
the local harvest, rich with apples and popcorn. Come with your
friends and family and enjoy the day. There are many of activities for kids and adults all day long, including: pancake & sausage breakfast at the firehouse, family entertainment on the stage, 5K, 10K & fun run, apple bobbing, big wheel race, nail driving, prince and princess contest, hula hoop contest, jump rope contest, bubble gum blowing contest, water balloon toss, pizza eating contest, car show, frisbee dogs, apple dessert contest, art show, photo show, men's leg contest, book sale at the Brookston library.
2013 will be the 35th annual Brookston Apple Popcorn Festival. It is scheduled for Saturday, September 21st, 7 am-6 pm. It is a free event.
Brookston is located 13 miles north of Lafayette, Indiana, on State Road 43. Here is a map of the Brookston area:.
