|Two all-American favorites play center stage on a day brimming with activities, including: over 200 craft booths, contests, entertainment, music & a great variety of food booths. There are yard sales galore all through town. Brookston's annual festival takes place the third Saturday in September. This is the time to celebrate the local harvest, rich with apples and popcorn. Come with your friends and family and enjoy the day.
There are many of activities for kids and adults all day long, including: pancake & sausage breakfast at the firehouse, family entertainment on the stage, 5K, 10K run, apple bobbing, big wheel race, nail driving, prince and princess contest, hula hoop contest, jump rope contest, bubble gum blowing contest, water balloon toss, pizza eating contest, frisbee dogs, apple dessert contest, art show, men's leg contest, book sale at the Brookston library.
2016 will be the 38th annual Brookston Apple Popcorn Festival. It is scheduled for Saturday, September 17th, 7 am-6 pm. It is a free event.
Golf carts are allowed in Brookston without having to have a permit from the town the day of the event ONLY. No four-wheelers, Gators, Rangers or ATV's are allowed. No golf carts are allowed in the festival area. Golf carts must have insurance.
Handicapped Parking is available close to the heart of the event, between Second and Third Streets. Enter from the north. All paved surface from parking area on in is easily negotiated with a wheelchair or rascal-type vehicle. Wheelchair-accessable washrooms are conveniently located near the center of the event and ample portable toilets are situated in convenient locations.
For our seventh year we are proud to announce the Brookston Apple Popcorn Festival is "Going Green"! There will be recycling containers throughout the event. Cardboard recycling will be provided at the end of the food area. We encourage all food vendors to adopt plates, cups and napkins with recycled content. We ask everyone to help us make the 2016 festival a green one!

Vendors new to our festival must include photo of your display.
